Monday July 18th, on that red eye, suitcase full of AirWear tees, sportin' an iced out BIG shirt. Everyone beaming as I walk down the isle to my seat. I pushed the seat back and awaited my arrival to the West coast. LBC airport was my destination.
Touched down in Cali. Name Brand Media's exec Rubin aka Hell, to meet and greeted me with "Wat up Family". It was definatly all love from the gate.
Within minutes, the traffic was thick, all good though, the wips were tight as I pulled out the camera and started takin flics. Thirty minutes later we were in Santa Monica gettin our eat on at the 3rd St Promanade. Cruising North on the Pacific Coast Hwy, we passed Malibu where the houses seemed as if they were about to roll down the hill. They were definately my style. " Ya' heard".
Entering the City of Oxnard, the weather seemed to drop to a coolin 78 degrees (now thats what im talking about). In Oxnard, we met up with the rest of the NBM staff, Tony, Alex, Danny, Phun, Dean, John Jay aka and Mongo at Cabos, one of the illest Mexican eaterys I ever ate at. We talked about making this AirWear photo shoot happen and they were all willing and able to help with the cars and models. We all toasted our Tequilla... "Holla!".
The next day, I awoke to a weird scraping sound. As I went to check it out, Dean was there to greet me. The sound was a low rider truck scraping on the pavement, what they call "Pancaked". There was also an H2 riding on blades. All equiped with Cholos and Cholas. Now, that's what's up. The girls were wearing custom made dresses made by Chantal out of the guy tees. Definately off the hezzy. Thank you girl, you did your thing.
We started to shoot in the allies, then, we went to Solar X pertz shop. They were able to supply us with the phat whips. Thanks guys. Then we headed south on the Pacific Coast Hwy. Quick stop at the "Rock" in Malibu, then, down to the Peer in Santa Monica. The final spot was Sunset strip (were else?).
Oxnard, July 21st, at the radio station KCAQ 104.7. Interview with Cuban Linx, a long time friend and supporter of AirWear. So I hit him up on the jack, Hell and I met him at the station to bless him and his crew with Airwear tees. It was all good, familia, ya' heard.
Off to the House of Blues in L.A. Urbano Movement 2005. We were reppin for Name Brand Media's artist Queenie, who blew the roof off the joint. (Definately my favorite "ESE".) I missed my a.m. flight due to his energy. All good though.
Back on the plane after some Roscos Chicken and Waffles. I'm tellin you my experience cause the TV's are out on this Jetblue flight... "damn".
I would like to thank the entire staff at Name Brand Media, Solar X Perts, Chantal and Gramps for that bangin' Mexican Breakfast. Now I know why BIG made that record, because, I'm going, going, back, back to Cali, Cali..."AirWear West Coast Ya' Heard!!!"
...Peace I'm out A to the L..
